meet annie, the third and final installment of wedge children ... after a week she's making adjusting to being a family of five very easy ... pretty much she just sleeps and eats ... pretty much what her mama has been doing too.  the boys are thankfully adjusting well ... hopefully that continues when annie starts to demand a little more attention.

some bullet points on my life

haven't been around here in awhile, but for the 4 of you that still read this blog (curse the facebook) i wanted to do a quick update on me (my children will come in different post).  

note one:  i've decided to take the photography hobby to the next level and start a business.  i'm calling it simply W photography and the (not totally finished) web site is simplywphotography.com.  i'm working on getting the actual business logistics taken care of now, but in the meantime if any of the 4 of you have a need for family pictures, or have a friend that has a need ... or maybe a friend that wants some pictures of their new puppy or goldfish ... you get the point.  i'm still working on pricing, but for the time being it will be insanely reasonable while i'm still working out the kinks.

note two:  i'm totally obsessed with some old cameras i found.  please don't drop by my house, it's embarrassingly messy because my priorities are a little sideways ... but, the end result of these pictures is cool, right?  (and now i shall clean ... before my children and husband walk out in protest)

i took some pictures of my cousin stephanie (and her "it's complicated") for her senior year ... here are a couple ... so, so, so much better than a year ago.  i've had a lovely time climbing the very steep photography learning curve ... i figure i'm about 10% up it at this point.  just wait until ten years from now.

 

is summer over yet?

please don't remind me in june that i said this in september, but i'm SO ready for summer to be over.  i feel like we haven't stopped moving for three months.  we're enjoying nice indian summer weather and have been swimming most days for the past two weeks.  all the same, i'm ready for weather that requires us to stay put for awhile.  seriously, i'm embarrassed to write this.  i'm not sure why i'm sharing.  i'm going to stop.  yosemite in july sometime:

just a clarification on this post, as some of you have expressed confusion ... john was looking for me to reciprocate his compliment.  when i didn't, he simply filled in what his reply would have been to the compliment.  hopefully you can now find the humor too.
